I am going to be explaining the Flying Tea bag experiment that we did.
We first emptied out the tea bag and stood it up onto a sheet of tinfoil so it didn't burn the table. Then we got a lighter and lit the top of the teabag on fire. After that we watched the fire burn down the tea bag until it got short, which then let enough cold air rush into the bottom of the tea bag and make it fly up. This is because as the air already inside the teabag starts to heat up, cold air comes into the bottom of the teabag and helps the tea bag rise.
Has anyone else done this experiment? If so, what were your results?
