My Explanation On How Chocolate Is Made

GROWING AND HARVESTING

Chocolate starts as cocoa beans, which grow in pods on trees, which grow in tropical heats of equatorial forests. It takes about 5-6 months for a cocoa pod to fully grow. Then they are ready to be harvested.

FERMENTING AND DRYING

Once the beans have been extracted from their pods, they are covered for 5-7 days to ferment. After fermentation they are left to dry in the sun for 6 days.

COLLECTION, SHIPPING AND COCOA LIQUOR

At collection centers, the beans are weighed and checked for quality before being put in bags and transported to other factories for processing. In the cocoa factories the beans are sorted, cleaned, dried and broken into nibs. The nibs are then roasted and ground into a very fine liquid mass. (The cocoa liquor) Cocoa liquor can then be further processed down into cocoa butter and powder.

MAKING CHOCOLATE

Depending on the chocolate recipe, cocoa liquor, cocoa butter, sugar or milk powder are combined. This mass is continuously kneaded in a process called conching, to give the chocolate its smooth texture. Other ingredients can be added before the chocolate is delivered, Either in liquid form, blocks, or even chocolate drops to customers all over the world.

I hope my explanation was helpful and interesting to you. Do you like chocolate? If so, what is your favourite flavour?

Flying Tea Bag Experiment

I am going to be explaining the Flying Tea bag experiment that we did.

We first emptied out the tea bag and stood it up onto a sheet of tinfoil so it didn't burn the table. Then we got a lighter and lit the top of the teabag on fire. After that we watched the fire burn down the tea bag until it got short, which then let enough cold air rush into the bottom of the tea bag and make it fly up. This is because as the air already inside the teabag starts to heat up, cold air comes into the bottom of the teabag and helps the tea bag rise.

Has anyone else done this experiment? If so, what were your results?

Another Poem I wrote

There once was a ghost,
Who liked to eat toast,
From the garbage bins.
But then one day,
Instead of toast,
There were only pins.
So the ghost was very sad to say,
There would be no toast today.

A Poem That I Wrote

There once was a guy named Bob.
He really liked to rob.
But then one day when he was robbing,
He saw an Ice cream Truck stopping.
So he stopped robbing, to go and risk it
He decided to get an Ice cream biscuit
But on the way out, he got his karma,
when he tripped over a passing llama.
So now you know, not to rob,
or you will end up just like Bob.
